The sessions you're both free simply glow
Add your lectures, labs and clinic hours and your buddy's appear next to them. Sessions where you can both see patients glow softly, and clashes warn you before you save.
In practice
How it works
-
Add lectures by weekday
You enter a lecture or lab by picking weekdays (Mon, Wed…), a start and an end time. The start date defaults to the first day of term, so earlier weeks look filled in even if you join mid-term. For one-offs such as an exam you pick a single date.
- One “Add” menu: Clinic hours, Lecture / lab / exam, Personal busy time, Patient appointment
- The class field suggests your own classes; add a missing one with “Add to my classes”
- Personal busy time shows to your buddy only as “busy”
-
My clinic hours: session length per slot
You enter clinic hours on their own screen, class by class: day, start, end and session length. You choose the length for each slot (30 to 180 minutes, or your own number) and the form shows the result straight away. Edit and Delete sit next to every slot.
Counting sessions
- 09:00–11:00, 2-hour sessions
- 1 session
- 09:00–11:00, 1-hour sessions
- 2 sessions
- Mon + Wed, 09–11 and 13–15, 2-hour sessions
- 4 sessions a week
Sessions are the slot length divided by the session length; any remainder doesn't count.
-
Your buddy's layer sits right beside yours
Your buddy's lectures, labs and clinic hours show in a lighter tone with a small avatar. You switch layers on and off one by one: my events, buddy's events, clinic hours, appointments, holidays.
- You can see your buddy's items but never move or delete them
- Approved shared appointments change only through “request change”
- Your personal events never reach your buddy in detail
-
Free sessions glow, clashes warn you
Clinic sessions where neither of you has a lecture, a lab or anything else on glow softly on the calendar. Tap one to “Propose a patient here”. If your buddy has a lab at the time you're saving, you're warned before you save.
- If only your buddy is free in a session, you can still see your own patient there with a temporary assistant
- You see shared free sessions week by week, no messaging back and forth
-
Month, week, day and agenda views
The week view opens on desktop and the day view on a phone. In the month view each day shows its number and up to three dots; tap a day to open it. The agenda view gives the same information as a plain list, which is also the easiest for screen-reader users.
Importing from a calendar file (.ics) and a private feed that shows your schedule in Google or Apple Calendar are planned.
How this helps
-
- You don't need to message anyone to find a free session.
-
- You see a clash before you save it.
-
- Joining mid-term still gives you a filled-in past.
-
- Your buddy's calendar can't be broken from your side: you only see it.
