Cookies

The short answer: the website sets no cookies at all. The app uses a single necessary cookie that keeps you signed in.

Last updated: 26 October 2026

This is the closed-beta version. Before the public launch it will be reviewed by a lawyer experienced in KVKK.

1. The website (buddyforever.app)

  • It sets no cookies.
  • It has no analytics, advertising or tracking tools.
  • It loads nothing from third parties: fonts and images come from the site itself.
  • That is why we do not need to show a cookie consent banner.

When you send the invite request form, your details go to the app's address (my.buddyforever.app). That data is not a cookie; how it is handled is explained in the Privacy notice.

2. The app (my.buddyforever.app)

  • Session cookie (necessary): used to recognise you after you sign in and keep you signed in. It is secure, readable only by the server (HttpOnly) and limited to this site (SameSite). The app cannot work without it, so it does not ask for consent.
  • Browser storage: preferences such as language, theme and the tips you have seen are kept on your device (localStorage). They are not sent to the server and not used to track you.

The app has no advertising, analytics or tracking cookies. If we ever add another necessary cookie, such as bot protection, we will update this page beforehand.

3. How can you manage cookies?

You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. If you block the session cookie you cannot sign in to the app. If you clear browser storage, your language and theme preferences reset; your account and data are not affected.
