Terms of use

The rules for using Buddy Forever during the closed beta. We kept them short and wrote them plainly.

Last updated: 26 October 2026

This is the closed-beta version. Before the public launch it will be reviewed by a lawyer experienced in KVKK and contract law.

1. Scope and closed beta

Buddy Forever is a tool that helps clinical-year dental students who work in buddy pairs plan their work. It is run by Veli YILMAZ. It is currently in a closed beta: you can join only with an invite code, and features may change.

By creating an account or using the app you accept these terms.

2. A personal planning tool, not an official record

Buddy Forever is a personal planning tool. The points, case counts, patient plans and appointments you keep in it are not an official medical record or an official grade document.

Your faculty's records, approvals and sign-offs remain the legal record. To have your points and quotas count, keep following your faculty's own rules. Presets are built from documents the faculty publishes, but they can be wrong or out of date; you can correct the values in every class.

3. The nickname rule: never enter real patient data

Use only a made-up nickname for patients (for example Sunflower). Never enter a real name, initials, file number, phone number, national ID number, address or photo, and do not write them in the notes fields either.

You accept this rule when you sign up. Breaking it can have serious consequences for the patient and for you. If you notice that you entered real patient data, delete the record straight away and tell us.

4. Your account and the beta invite code

  • The beta invite code is personal; do not share it with others or post it in a public place.
  • Keep your account details correct and up to date, and do not share your password. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
  • An account belongs to one person. If you suspect your account is not secure, write to us right away.

5. Acceptable use

Do not use the app to:

  • Enter real patient data or upload another person's personal data without permission,
  • Disrupt or overload the service, other people or the infrastructure, or try to access them without permission,
  • Send bulk requests with automated tools or try to get around rate limits,
  • Harass or mislead others or enter unlawful content,
  • Misuse vouchers or invite codes.

If you break these rules we may restrict your account, with a warning or, where needed, without one.

6. Buddy pairing

Your buddy sees your calendar and, for a live visit they are assisting, the related patient plan. Shared appointments change only when both of you agree. You can end a pairing at any time; past appointments stay readable to both of you. Do not enter information you do not want your buddy to see.

7. Vouchers and Buddy Plus

The core features are free. Buddy Plus is currently opened only with vouchers given by admins; the app takes no payments. Vouchers cannot be transferred or exchanged for cash and last for the stated time. If a paid plan is offered in future, we will announce it beforehand and update these terms.

8. Availability and data resets

During the beta the service is not promised to be uninterrupted or error-free. The app may go down for maintenance and features may change. If data has to be reset during the beta, we will tell you beforehand in the app or by email. You can back up your important data by exporting it from Settings.

9. Ending your use and deletion

  • You can delete your account at any time in Settings. You can change your mind within 7 days; your account and its data are fully removed within 14 days and leave backups within 5 weeks at the latest.
  • If you break these terms, or when the beta ends, we may end your access. Where possible we will warn you beforehand and give you time to export your data.

10. Limits of liability

During the beta Buddy Forever is provided free of charge and "as is". Except where the law does not allow us to limit liability, we are not responsible for the consequences of mistakes in presets, missed appointments, late notifications or points and quotas that turn out incomplete. Checking your points and quotas against your faculty's official sources is up to you.

This clause does not affect liability for intent or gross negligence, liability that cannot be limited by law, or the statutory rights you have as a consumer.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. You can use your consumer rights of recourse. The details on jurisdiction will be settled in the legal review before the public launch.

12. Changes and contact

If we update these terms we change the date at the top and announce important changes in the app. If you keep using the app after a change, you accept the new terms.
